Burial Warfare Overview
Stay bold and steadfast, as a nighttime stroll through the graveyard awaits you, and you’ll feel icy stares not only from the huge, hypnotic moon. This is, after all, the Night of the Living Dead, and it promises to be an incredibly long night—and breathtakingly so.
Burial Warfare is a 6-reel, 4-row slot game featuring these elements: two teams for the player to choose from, Wild, Explosive, and Scatter symbols, a Stash Opening minigame, a Loss Bonus, and Free Spins. Before the game starts, the player picks their side: Humans or Zombies. Teams can be switched at any time, and symbols matching the player’s chosen team yield higher winnings. There are also team-specific symbols. These appear for both sides but with a distinct team color, and their payouts are multiplied by 3. Human and zombie hands with thumbs up serve as Scatter symbols; depending on the selected team, three or more Scatters on the field win a round for one side or the other. If the player’s team wins the round, they receive a Loss Bonus and a chance to open a Crate (Coffin) containing an extra reward inside.
The crate holds all symbols on the screen that carry reward value, along with the Jackpot symbol (a bonus symbol whose reward equals the sum of all rewards multiplied by 10). By opening the crate, the player wins one of these bonus rewards, with its special value listed in the rules under the reward list as "stash."
Three enemy Scatter symbols mean the player loses the round. But don’t worry—each losing round increases the Loss Bonus, which is paid out after a round win or a draw (when three Scatter symbols from both teams appear on the screen). The Loss Bonus starts at zero at the game’s beginning and grows by bet/2 each time the opposing team wins. After the Loss Bonus is paid, it resets to zero.
Three consecutive round wins grant the player a massive 30 Free Spins! During Free Spins, Scatter elements don’t appear on the screen, boosting the Free Spins win rate.
To succeed in this confrontation, the player has a wide arsenal of high-impact weapons. For instance, dynamite, which explodes and destroys all non-allied symbols nearby; the team-neutral Bottle Rocket, which switches enemy symbols to Wild; or the Molotov/Acid Flask, which replaces adjacent horizontal and vertical symbols with Wilds.
